In celebration of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026), and in particular to mark the 50-year development journey of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (1976–2026), the University Trade Union organized a traditional bánh chưng and bánh tét wrapping contest under the theme “ULAW Spring – 50 Years Under One Roof.” The competition attracted 14 teams representing trade union groups from faculties, institutes, departments, and centers across the University. Through the two contest segments—cake wrapping and New Year’s Eve ceremonial tray presentation, the event showcased distinctive cultural displays and traditional cakes imbued with the spirit and flavors of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

Prior to these activities, in order to provide timely encouragement and support to students facing financial difficulties on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the University implemented a student welfare and support program. This initiative aimed to assist students in preparing for their return home to celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families, while also offering care and support to those remaining in Ho Chi Minh City during the holiday period. Accordingly, the University awarded 82 support grants to students, with a total value exceeding VND 200 million. This meaningful program reflects the University’s commitment to student welfare and contributes to fostering a supportive academic environment in which students can study, develop, and welcome the Lunar New Year in a warm and compassionate atmosphere.
